TechGYRLS : Drone/Rover Piloting & Programming
From primary schools to PhD’s, drones offer an astonishing new aerial perspective with countless applications that cut across disciplines, including science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), as well as film, media, and journalism. This session is designed to introduce the TechGYRLS to the software & hardware systems of Remote Controlled MiniRovers (Bots) & Remote Controlled Quadcopters (Drones) focusing on the software interface and control characteristics. This session covers the importance of safety training, standardized system checks, and controlling procedures. This session will discuss in detail the unique programming interface platform for autonomous choreographed Bot/Drone movement. This session will discuss the most recent laws and regulations currently in place by local, state, and federal agencies for bot/drone operations. This session will also discuss in detail the unique programming interface platform for autonomous bot/drone piloting.
